Happy Wednesday Everybody! I hope you are all having a fabulous week so far, however if you are anything like me, by the time Wednesday rolls around your motivation starts to fade a bit as dreams of the weekend start to appear.

I know that I definitely need a reminder and some motivation every Wednesday as that mid week slump rolls in and  I am here to provide you with some words of encouragement to finish the week off strong!

It is so important to always keep your goals in mind, especially your long term goals when making decisions regarding your life on a daily basis. This includes choices about food, working out, or even the tasks that you consider to be high on your priority list.

I believe in balance and moderation and working towards loving who you are to create a life that you don’t need a vacation from.

I know motivational quotes can be totally corny and some people don’t really like them, however I can always use some words of encouragement to be my best self every day. So I am here to share my favorite quotes that are getting me through this Wednesday.

I truly do believe that it is the sum of small and consistent efforts day in and day out that allow you to be successful and achieve your goals in life.

For example, working out for an hour is only 4% of your day, and if you eat clean and workout on a regular basis you will see results and achieve the body that you know you are capable of having and creating for yourself!

Motivation

I have been pretty stressed out recently and this quote in particular really helped me to shed some light on how much pressure I have put on myself. I am a freaking diamond and I do perform well under pressure I just need to realize that I am not  super human.

I need to have enough sleep, remember to eat, and just take care of myself because when I am stressed out the first thing to fall by the wayside is any form of relaxation or self care.

Remember that taking care of yourself and your needs is not selfish. It is actually one of the best things you can do for the people you love and care about, because how can you expect yourself to be of any use to anybody if you are burned out and constantly stressed?

Being the best version of yourself, which involves taking care of your needs, allows you to give your best self to others. I am still learning to practice this but I am definitely getting better!

Motivation

This is something that I feel SO passionately about it’s kind of insane and after reading this article written by the amazing Michael Bosstick about excuses, I have to say that I agree completely.

There are so many people that want to do amazing, huge things in their life, however most of those people are not willing to put in the effort that it takes to turn their dreams into a reality!

You need to understand that there is always going to be somebody working harder than you, putting in the time that you say you “just don’t have”, but guess what? They are going to be the ones who achieve the things that you want so badly out of life but you keep making excuses about.

You know that excuses are like a**holes and everybody has one, but if you want something badly enough, a promotion, a career change, to make new friends, lose weight, etc. anything, you MAKE THE TIME!

At the end of the day when I crawl into bed, I want to know that I have done everything in my power that day to work towards by bigger goals in every aspect and area of my life. I hate going to bed and feeling like I wasted the day, which I why I workout on weekends and get shit done during the day so if I want to let lose on a Saturday night, I know that I have accomplished enough during the day so that I don’t feel guilty having a drink or two.

I am my own motivation. I am motivated to be better than I was a year ago, a week ago, even an hour ago.

That is such a huge part of life, working to be a better version of yourself all the time!

Nobody is going to go and make your dreams a reality for you, and even if you were handed everything you ever wanted without really having to put in the effort, it wouldn’t feel as good, I promise. If you get handed things on a silver platter, you are not going to appreciate it nearly as much as you would if you had hustled and worked your ass off to achieve those dreams for yourself.

I know that I control my own destiny. The work that I put in on a daily basis is highly indicative of the results I am going to get. Of course there are days when I just want to say “fuck it” and go eat a greasy cheeseburger and blow off the gym and other responsibilities, and on occasion I might. However 98% of the time I realize that by doing that I am only hurting myself and holding myself back from achieving everything I know I am capable of in life.
