Let’s Talk Detox Baths!!!!!

Ok guys I have been a bit under the weather the past few days and am desperate to feel better because being sick is the worst! I am super into natural forms of healing and because I have been helping myself out of a cold for years as a singer, I wanted to share some of my feel better quick tips and my number one tip is a Detox Bath!!! And good news, it is cheap and super easy to do and also makes you feel like you are in a spa! What You’ll Need

  • 1 cup of Epsom salts(can be found at any grocery store for about 5-10 dollars)
  • 1/2 cup of baking soda(the kind you find at a grocery store as well)
  • 4 tablespoons of ground ginger
  • 1/3 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar(with the mother), see my previous post about this if you don’t know what that is
  • essential oils of your choice(I love the smell of orange and lavender)

Fill up your bathtub with the hottest water you can stand and let it fill up about half way before adding the ingredients, give it a good stir with your hand until the salts and baking soda are dissolved, and then submerge yourself in the tub up to your neck. Then put on some music and chill the eff out for about 40 minutes. The first twenty minutes you will be detoxing and opening up your pores so that in the last twenty minutes those minerals from the epsom salts can be absorbed into your skin. Ginger makes you sweat your little ass off just a heads up, hence its detoxing properties, but I promise that after you get out, you will feel amazing. If you have time after your bath and just want to relax some more, slip into something warm and crawl into bed for a nice rejuvenating nap and wake up feeling so much better!! This bath is awesome for so many reasons

  • These ingredients facilitate the elimination of toxins which cleanse the liver, kidneys, and thyroid, meaning it kicks your cold way faster
  • Boosts your magnesium levels, 80% of Americans have a deficiency in magnesium so this bath is awesome
  • It can sooth skin irritations, like acne and rosacea
  • The ginger helps you sweat out toxins and you might continue to sweat for a few hours after the bath but it is so amazing to help you kick your cold and detoxing in general!!!
